Our guest speaker is Michael Martella, Gilbert Economic Development Project Manager. He'll discuss current developments underway in Gilbert, recent successes, and a general overview of Gilbert's major employment corridors.

This event is hosted by WeSERV Commercial Networking Committee 2022 Chairperson, Maggie True. We'll provide a coffee bar, bagels and cream cheese, and handouts if appropriate. You may choose to bring a pencil/pen and notepad for additional notes. The event tends to be a bit chilly, so you may want to bring a light sweater.

About Michael Martella 

Michael has over thirteen years of comprehensive economic development experience. He has spent most of this time attracting and supporting businesses from a wide range of industries and different sizes. In addition, Michael has spent the last three years working as an Economic Development Project Manager for the Town of Gilbert. He's responsible for executing activities to generate new business development leads, supporting the growth of Gilbert-based businesses, and managing a pipeline of economic development projects. Before working for the Town of Gilbert, Michael held economic development positions for Fountain Hills, Winnetka, IL, and Bensenville, IL.

Michael earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration from Northern Illinois University. He moved to Arizona from Chicago in 2018 and loves to spend his free time exercising, hiking, volunteering, and traveling to different countries.
